Woodburn Fertilizer, as its name implies, is primarily a fertilizer blending and shipping facility. Ingredients are brought in by truck and rail from all over North America and the Pacific Rim. Ingredients are blended to specification and shipped bulk or packaged. Packaging varies from 1 lb to 50 lbs in paper or plastic bags, boxes, or jugs to meet individual customer requirements. Much of the fertilizer is packaged under the Woodburn Fertilizer “ Perfection Brand ” however, a great deal is toll packaged for resellers and done under private labels. Fertilizer from Woodburn supplies the Agricultural, Nursery, Landscape, Turf and Retail Garden Center Industries throughout the Western United States.

In addition to dry fertilizer, the Company also stocks a comprehensive line of agricultural and ornamental pesticides, operates a liquid fertilizer blending facility, a seed cleaning facility and maintains a supply of feed. An international transload partnership with Agrium is located just west of I-5 in Woodburn. This facility receives bulk shipments via truck and rail and stores up to 13,500 tons including eight different fertilizer products. Bulk fertilizer is loaded out of this facility to local dealers throughout Oregon. Woodburn Fertilizer has retail outlets in Woodburn and Molalla with a staff dedicated to meeting the needs of the industries that it serves.

Woodburn Fertilizer employs a very diverse and specialized office and field staff to assist growers with the technical aspects of producing today's agricultural and ornamental crops. The staff is comprised of individuals who strive to keep abreast of their ever-changing, specialized areas of expertise; fertility programs and formulation, pest identification and control measures, governmental regulations, covercrop establishment, seed cleaning, and feed. Each individual on the staff has their own expertise in specific crop areas; turf, ornamentals, rowcrops, grass seed, grains, nutcrops, grapes, Christmas trees, etc. We have on staff, several licensed consultants, of whom many are nationally Certified Crop Advisors.

Growers can take advantage of the technical assistance Woodburn Fertilizer offers by stopping in the office, phone consultation, or arranging for a field visit. Field visits offer growers specific on site consultations and recommendations. Pests or problems are identified and preventative/curative control measures are offered. Current fertility measures can be reviewed. Using soil and tissue analysis, customer-specific fertilizer recommendations can enhance and maximize fertility in a cost effective manner.
